The No. 22 Virginia women’s lacrosse team suffered a 19-4 loss against No. 2 North Carolina on Friday at Klöckner Stadium in Charlottesville.

North Carolina (11-1, 8-0 ACC) jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

The 2025 Tewaaraton Trophy winner, sophomore Chloe Humphrey, scored seven goals with two assists for the Tar Heels.

Junior midfielder Kate Galica won 15 draw controls for the Cavaliers (6-8, 4-4), including 11 in the first half. The 15 draws ties for the second most in a single game in program history.

Sophomore attacker Fiona Allen scored two goals, both in the fourth quarter.

• Virginia held a 17-8 edge in draws, including a 12-3 advantage in the first half
