Five members of the Virginia women’s tennis team were named to the All-ACC Women’s Tennis Academic Team.

Senior Rosie Johanson (Vancouver, Canada), junior Sofia Munera (Pereira, Colombia), sophomore Natasha Subhash (Fairfax, Va.), and freshmen Emma Navarro (Charleston, S.C.) and Hibah Shaikh (Teaneck, N.J.) have all earned the honor.

North Carolina and Virginia lead the league with five players each on the academic team, followed by Duke, Florida State, NC State, Notre Dame and Wake Forest with four each. Miami and Louisville each had three selections on the team.

Twenty-three members of the team were named All-Americans and the same number earned All-ACC distinction.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
