One of the hottest-rising prospects from the recruiting class of 2023 gained an offer from Tony Bennett on Thursday night.
Elmarko Jackson, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound point guard from New Jersey, announced on his Twitter account that he had received an offer from Virginia. Jackson has 20 present offers from Tennessee, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Michigan, Maryland, Syracuse, Oklahoma, Nebraska, St. John’s, Pitt, Minnesota, Miami, Kansas State, Seton Hall, Georgetown, Richmond, VCU, Ole Miss and others.
Jackson is rated a 4-star by 247Sports and a 3-star by Rivals. 247 has him ranked the nation’s No. 77 overall prospect at any position and the No. 17 combo guard. ESPN ranks Jackson the highest at No. 66 nationally.

Jackson, who said he is a point guard and insisted he is not a combo guard, is a physical, athletic guard with quickness, and he’s a good shooter. His father played football at Temple and his uncle played at Michigan.
Jackson said he plans to trim his list by late summer and commit late fall.
