Virginia is hosting one of the top prospects from the recruiting class of 2025 today as the program showcases this season’s team in the annual Blue-White scrimmage (see related story for starting times of men’s and women’s scrimmages, autograph sessions) at John Paul Jones Arena.

Jacob Wilkins, the son of nine-time NBA All-Star Dominique Wilkins, will be in the house as Wahoo fans get a sneak peak at Tony Bennett’s new team. Wilkins is a 6-foot-8, 4-star forward from Lilburn, Ga., and is ranked the No. 16 overall prospect in the nation for ‘25.

Wilkins, who was offered by UVA in mid-July, also holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Indiana and Cincinnati. His father was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.

He is the second prospect from the ‘25 class to visit Virginia this week. Another 4-star, 6-6 wing Jackson Keith, from Durham, N.C., visited earlier in the week and took in a Wahoo practice session.

Keith, ranked the No. 39 overall prospect in the class, has also visited North Carolina and NC State. He plans visits to Tennessee and Georgetown.

In other recruiting news, UVA offered Los Angeles point guard Trent Perry, has committed to Southern Cal. Perry, the No. 36 overall player in the recruiting class of 2024 according to On3, said, “Representing my hometown, while playing for a hometown school has been a dream of mine,” Perry told Joe Tipton of On3. He also held offers from UCLA, Oregon, Oklahoma, Colorado, Stanford, TCU and others.
