When Ryan Odom went shopping for a point guard to lead his reconstructed Virginia basketball team, he didn’t go for the flash. Instead, Odom fell in love with a player who had lost his starting job to be the new leader of the Cavaliers.
That player was Dallin Hall, who just happened to be the perfect guy at the perfect time to kickstart UVA’s return to greatness on the hardwood.
Hall was a veteran guard _ he’s now 23 years old _ with three years of experience at BYU. He started until there was a coaching change, then was relegated to backup duties, which sent him into the portal.
Odom was delighted to land Hall and sings his praises at every opportunity, especially as No. 10 Virginia heads into postseason play.
