Former Virginia linebacker Nick Jackson, who entered the transfer portal on Dec. 12, is visiting Auburn this weekend. Auburn, which reportedly is offering a lucrative NIL deal for the three-time, All-ACC selection, could be the final destination of the Atlanta native.

Jackson, one of the captains of a much-improved UVA defense in 2022, led the Cavaliers with 104 tackles (41 solo), five sacks, seven tackles for loss and four passes broken up. He was second-team All-ACC for a second-consecutive season.

Five of his former teammates from the ‘22 season who entered the transfer portal have committed to other programs: quarterback Brennan Armstrong to NC State; receiver Billy Kemp to Nebraska; offensive lineman Logan Taylor to Boston College; offensive lineman John Paul Flores to Louisville; and highly-coveted cornerback Fentrell Cypress to Florida State.
