Former UVA star Malcolm Brogdon has a new NBA team. Brogdon and Robert Williams have been traded by the Boston Celtics to the Portland Trail Blazers for Jrue Holiday.

Holiday had indicated Boston would be one of his preferred landing spots after he was sent to Portland from Milwaukee earlier in the week in the Damian Lillard trade. Holiday is a 33-year-old guard that several teams were interested in obtaining and the Celtics made a “significant” offer in order to get him.

The Blazers also received Toumani Camara and Deandre Ayton, along with three first-rounders and a pair of pick swaps with the Bucks.

Brogdon, who was the ACC Player of the Year for Tony Bennett at Virginia, has two years remaining on his contract at $22.5 million each season. Lots of teams, including the LA Clippers, had been interested in Brogdon during the offseason.
