Gardner, Shedrick Named to All-ACC Academic Team

Virginia forwards Jayden Gardner and Kadin Shedrick were named to the All-ACC Academic Team.
Gardner and Shedrick were among 37 student-athletes named to the team. Gardner ranked seventh in the ACC in field goal percentage (50.1%) and free throw percentage (79.3%), 12th in scoring (15.3 ppg) and 17th in rebounding (6.4 rpg). He reached double figures in scoring in 29 games, including seven 20-point efforts. Shedrick averaged 6.9 points and 5.1 rebounds, and ranked third in the ACC in blocked shots at 1.91 per game. Shedrick recorded three double-doubles and blocked three or more shots in 13 games.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
