If you haven’t visited or stayed at Boar’s Head Resort, you’re missing out. Dating back to humble beginnings in 1834, Boar’s Head has become a true experience for its guests.

The resort boasts fine dining at the Old Mill Room, which has been completely renovated but hasn’t lost its old-time charm and hospitality. Also featured on the resort property are two other dining opportunities, the Cafe at the Sports Club and Birdwood Grill, which overlooks the Birdwood Golf Club.

Boar’s Head has 170 guest rooms and suites with all the amenities, and features a luxurious spa, a sports and fitness center, 26 tennis courts, three outdoor pools, rock-climbing walls, basketball courts and a golf course.

The resort, which is owned by the University of Virginia foundation, is home to the UVA men’s and women’s golf teams, the indoor home of Cavaliers’ tennis teams and squash teams.

Birdwood is nearing the completion of a complete renovation by renowned professional golfer and course architect Davis Love III.

It’s practically impossible to visit Boar’s Head Resort and not enjoy the experience. Heck, it even has hot-air balloons!
