Meghan Kelley, a senior on the Virginia women’s tennis team, was named an All-ACC first team selection following a vote of the league’s coaches the conference office announced on Thursday.

This season, Kelley (Falmouth, Maine) has posted a 24-12 record and went 10-5 in the ACC while playing at the top of the lineup. She is currently ranked No. 22 in the ITA Women’s Singles Rankings and has hit a career-high mark of No. 20 nationally in singles.

She has posted 10 wins over nationally-ranked opponents, including straight-set victories over fellow All-ACC First Team selections Kenya Jones of Georgia Tech and Anna Rogers of NC State. Jones was ranked No. 12 nationally at the time, while Rogers was ranked No. 25 nationally.

In doubles action, Kelley claimed the ITA Atlantic Regional title and advanced to the ITA National Fall Championships where she won the consolation bracket in the prestigious event. She has been ranked as high as No. 8 nationally with freshman Sofia Munera and played most of the spring with junior Hunter Bleser. For the year, Kelley holds a 27-10 record in doubles.

Kelley earned All-ACC honors for the second consecutive season. Last year she was a third team selection after playing the three spot in the lineup.

Currently, the Cavaliers are ranked No. 21 in the latest Oracle/ITA Women’s Team Rankings and are coming off a quarterfinal appearance at the ACC Women’s Tennis Championships. Selections for the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championships will be announced via live stream at NCAA.com on Monday at 6:30 p.m. ET. Selections for the NCAA Women’s Singles and Doubles Championships will be announced on Tuesday by the NCAA via press release.
