Kickoff times, broadcast details set for five Virginia games

As part of the announcement of early-season and non-Saturday football television selections, the Atlantic Coast Conference and Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday the kickoff times and broadcast originations for Virginia’s first two games of the 2023 season plus three non-Saturday games.

Virginia’s season-opening game in Nashville against Tennessee on Saturday, Sept. 2, at Nissan Stadium, will kick off at noon and be broadcast on ABC. 

The following Saturday (Sept. 9), the Cavaliers home opener against James Madison in Scott Stadium will start at noon and be televised by ESPNU.

UVA’s Sept. 15 contest at Maryland will kick off at 7 p.m. and be carried on FS1.

Virginia’s previously announced Friday, Sept. 22 home game against NC State has been designated as a 7:30 p.m. kickoff and will air on ESPN.

The Cavaliers Thursday, Nov. 9 game at Louisville will also be a 7:30 p.m. kickoff and also air on ESPN.

After the first three weeks of the season, game times and TV network selections will be announced weekly with the ACC’s television partners making their choices utilizing a 12-day advance notice beginning Monday, Sept. 11 (for games on Saturday, Sept. 23). ACC television partners also reserve the right to use a six-day flex selection notice on a limited basis during the season that also begins on Sept. 11 for games of Sept. 16. 

Season Tickets

Season tickets, three-game mini plans, and group tickets for 2023 Virginia Football home games are currently on sale. Fans have six different price options from which to choose when purchasing season tickets. Scott Stadium seating sections are designated Priority ($395), Prime ($360), Preferred ($290), Choice ($220) Select ($165) and Value ($129). UVA faculty, staff and young alumni receive a 20 percent discount for each of these seating options.

Mini Plans

Mini plans include one ticket for three games including choice of one non-conference and two conference games excluding Virginia Tech. Mini plans start at $54. Mini plan details are available at this link. 

Single-Game Tickets

Season ticket members and VAF members will have the opportunity to purchase single-game tickets via a presale starting July 10th at 9 a.m. Tickets for the public will go on-sale on July 12th at 9 a.m. Discounted group tickets for sizes of 20 or more are on sale now. Please note, the Virginia Tech game is only available to season ticket members and VAF members as a single-game ticket.

A limited number of tickets remain for the Tennessee game in Nashville. Lower-level tickets are $130 each. VAF Members and football season ticket members are eligible to receive a discount.
