The No. 1 Virginia men’s tennis team picked up a 4-1 win at No. 21 NC State on Friday at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center in Raleigh.
Virginia (15-2, 7-0 ACC) began the action with a 7-5 win from No. 31 Måns Dahlberg and Jangjun Kim on doubles court two, followed by a 6-4 victory on court one by No. 11 Dylan Dietrich and Stiles Brockett to secure the doubles point.
No. 42 Andres Santamarta Roig kicked off the singles slate with his 6-3, 6-1 win on court four before Kim, who’s ranked No. 110, put the Hoos up 3-0 with his 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory on three. NC State (14-2, 6-1) got on the board following a hard-fought battle on six, but No. 2 Dietrich clinched the match for the Cavaliers with his 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory on the top court.

The Cavaliers conclude their road weekend with a top-five matchup against No. 4 Wake Forest on Sunday (March 22) at 1 p.m. in Winston-Salem, N.C.
