Shawn Moore to visit ‘The Jerry & Jerry Show’ on Tuesday

One of the greatest players in Virginia football history, Shawn Moore, will appear on “The Jerry & Jerry Show” on Tuesday, Aug. 13, LIVE from our downtown studio, starting at 10:15 a.m.

The show is available on all podcast platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. It is an interactive show, so fans can join in with their questions and comments.

Moore, who now serves as Associate Director of Development for the UVA athletic department, was an All-American quarterback for legendary Cavaliers coach George Welsh in 1990, and helped lead Virginia to a national No. 1 ranking by both polls.

The Martinsville native, who was inducted into the state of Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in 2023, finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting in ‘90. Moore left UVA holding 41 school, ACC and NCAA records, some of which he still holds.

He played professionally for five seasons.
