On this week’s Jerry Ratcliffe Show, two-time UVA offensive coordinator Gary Tranquill, who helped engineer two of the Cavaliers’ greatest football seasons, joins Hootie to talk about a storied career. Tranquill talks about the 1989 and ‘90 teams and its offensive stars, working with nine Hall of Fame coaches, and shares some great stories. Also, Dr. John MacKnight, UVA’s team doctor and a member of the ACC medical panel, addresses the threat of myocarditis to the football season. Gary “Coach Criz” Criswell and Hootie discuss ACC recruiting.
