Two former Virginia star golfers finished in the top five of the PGA Tour-Canada’s Ontario Open on Sunday.

Thomas Walsh, who won back-to-back ACC individual championships in 2018 and 2019, rallied from way behind to finish in a tie for second in the event held at Woodington Lake Golf Club in Tottenham. Walsh leapfrogged 12 positions with a finishing round 67 for second place.

Meanwhile, another former UVA golfer, Danny Walker, finished in a tie for fifth, jumping 15 spots in the final round. Walker, who leads the Fortinet Cup Standings, won on the Canadian Tour a couple of weeks ago.

For Walsh, who turned pro in 2019, Sunday was his best finish as a professional. He posted rounds of 70-70-67-67–275 to finish seven strokes behind champion Noah Goodwin, who led wire-to-wire.

Walker posted 67-72-69-67–275.
