UVA adds depth at wide receiver with Marshall wideout Henry
By Jerry Ratcliffe
Virginia football has added another receiver to its roster in Marshall University transfer Artie Henry III.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide out has played the last three seasons for the Thundering Herd and started three of eight games he played in 2020. A preseason injury forced him to be sidelined for the first three games of the season, but once he returned to action, Henry hauled in 22 catches for 308 yards and three touchdowns.
Henry missed most of the 2019 season with another injury, limiting his action to only three games. He caught six passes for 66 yards and a score that season. In 2018, he appeared in 13 games and caught 17 passes for 143 yards and two TDs.
Henry came to Marshall from Mesa Junior College in San Diego, his hometown.
