UVA Among Star Recruit Juzang’s Final Schools

By Jerry Ratcliffe

Five-star recruit Johnny Juzang announced Sunday afternoon that he has narrowed his list to four schools: Virginia, Kentucky, Kansas, and Oregon.

Juzang, a 6-foot-6 sharpshooter, reclassified from the class of 2020 to the current class of 2019 this past week. He announced he would be visiting Kentucky beginning Monday of this week.

Juzang already made his official visit to Virginia during the school year.

John Calipari’s Wildcats currently have assembled the No. 3 recruiting class in the nation according to at least one recruiting service. Kentucky already has commitments from five-stars Keion Brooks and Tyrese Maxey.

Virginia is coming off a national title and has lost the majority of its scoring with the early exits of De’Andre Hunter (the National Defensive Player of the Year), Ty Jerome and Kyle Guy (Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four).

There would be an opportunity for Juzang to make an immediate impact at UVA as the team’s principle scorer.
