Virginia landed a commitment from an offensive lineman for its recruiting class of 2024 on Monday evening when Grant Ellinger, a 3-star prospect from Naperville, Ill., announced the news on his social media account.

Ellinger is a 6-foot-4, 270-pound lineman, who chose UVA over Cincinnati, Kansas, Marshall, Coastal Carolina, Army, Colorado State, Central Michigan, Bowling Green and others.

The Illinois native visited Virginia unofficially in the spring and liked his visit enough to come back for an official visit over the weekend. Ellinger was blown away with the royal treatment and his association with new offensive line coach Terry Hefferman.

Ellinger was so impressed that when he returned home after the visit, he decided to call the coaching staff and commit. He then canceled all of his planned remaining visits.
