UVA offers Elon graduate transfer safety Jones

Virginia has reached out to another FCS player in the transfer portal, offering former Elon safety Tre’Von Jones.
Jones, a 6-foot defensive back for the Phoenix, has one year of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer. He has been offered by UVA, JMU, Appalachian State, Hawaii, Miami (Ohio), Georgia Southern and Charlotte.
Jones, originally from Trinity Christian School in Warrenton, N.C., finished his career at Elon with 185 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, three interceptions and 15 passes defended.
A 2019 Phil Steele FCS freshman All-American, Jones was a two-time All-CAA player.
He has officially visited JMU.
