UVA offers Reece, another point guard from 2025 recruiting class

Virginia has thrown its hat in the ring for another 2025 point guard, Jalen “Groovy” Reece, from Orlando, Fla.

Reece has a ton of offers already, including Alabama, Cincinnati, Louisville, Ohio State, Penn State, Missouri, Kansas State, Illinois, Providence, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech, Xavier and others.

Reece is a 5-foot-10, quick guard, who is ranked No. 82 in the national composite ratings, the No. 11 point guard and No. 10 prospect in the state of Florida.

Coached by his father, Steve Reece, at Oakridge High School, Jalen averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 3.8 steals per game last season. He also plays for the Florida Rebels AAU team.

He is a 4-star guard with ties to the city of Cincinnati. His dad, Steve, is close to the Louisville staff.
