Tony Elliott’s staff has offered Ivy League star running back Malachi Hosley, who has rushed for nearly 2,000 yards and 16 touchdowns in two, 10-game seasons.
The Cavaliers have also offered three-team, All-Ivy League center Austin Gentle of Harvard and 2024 FCS Freshman All-American offensive lineman Brady Norton of Cal Poly (more on those two later in the article).
Hosley, who has two years of eligibility remaining, finished the season for Penn’s Quakers with four straight 100-yard rushing games and was a finalist for the FCS National Player of the Year, in addition to being a finalist for the Walter Payton Award.
The Georgia native also holds offers from Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, JMU, Houston, Cincinnati, South Florida, Coastal Carolina and others.
Hosley rushed for 1,192 yards and nine touchdowns in 10 games in 2024 and accumulated 1,915 rushing yards and 16 scores over the past two campaigns.
Gentle is a 6-foot-3, 295-pound center and a grad transfer with one year of eligibility remaining. He is the second-highest rated center in FCS football and was a three-time starter and three-time All-Ivy League center for the Crimson. He also holds offers from Tulane, JMU, Memphis, Florida Atlantic and others.
Norton has three years of eligibility remaining. The Cal Poly standout posted a PFF grade of 91 in pass blocking last season and didn’t allow a sack in 704 snaps.
Norton has already scheduled official visits to Wake Forest (Dec. 14), Virginia (Dec. 16), Syracuse (Dec. 18), Georgia Tech (Dec. 20) and Kansas State (Dec. 22). He was also offered by Duke and Liberty University.
