Virginia guard Reece Beekman is one of only eight ACC players invited to the 2023 NBA Combine (May 15-21), and one of three (Wake’s Bobi Klintman and Syracuse’s Judah Mintz) who are underclassmen that face a May 31 NCAA deadline to stay in school.

Several other ACC underclassmen, such as Duke’s Derek Lively and Miami’s Isaiah Wong, declared they are entering the draft and not returning to school.

At least 20 other ACC seniors were not invited to the combine.

Other than the five ACC underclassmen previously mentioned, the only other ACC players invited thus far include Jordan Miller of Miami, Terquavion Smith of NC State and Dariq Whitehead of Duke.

There has been a lot of speculation that Beekman may return because of mock draft projections having him going in the second round (no guaranteed money), if at all.
