Virginia football lands a 4-star offensive tackle from Bluefield’s Graham H.S.

By Jerry Ratcliffe

uva footballGarett Tujague continued building his offensive line of the future on Saturday when Bluefield’s Brody Meadows announced his commitment to Virginia football. Meadows is the Cavaliers’ eighth commitment to the recruiting class of 2022.

At 6-foot-7, 300 pounds, Meadows’ decision was a quick one. The Graham High School star took his official visit to UVA last week and was blown away by Tujague and head coach Bronco Mendenhall.

Ranked a 4-star offensive line prospect by Rivals, a 3-star by 247Sports, Meadows chose the Wahoos over a long list of suitors, including Cincinnati, Michigan State, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Purdue, and others.

The rising senior, who plays offensive and defensive line for Graham, is ranked the No. 15 player in his class for the state of Virginia and the No. 38 offensive tackle in his class in the nation by 247, while Rivals rated him the No. 35 offensive tackle prospect in the country and No. 12 in the state.

He was named a Freshman All-American in 2018 when he led Graham of Bluefield (Va.) to the state title. The G-Men were undefeated in a pandemic-shortened, five-game regular season this past spring, his junior year. Graham was eliminated in the opening round of the state playoffs.

Meadows holds a 3.8 GPA.
