Virginia makes final four list of 5-star small forward Houstan
By Jerry Ratcliffe
Virginia has made the cut for one of the top 10 basketball prospects in the country.
Five-star Caleb Houstan, a 6-foot-7, 190-pound small forward from Montverde Academy in Florida, narrowed his final four college choices to Alabama, Duke, Michigan and UVA.
Houstan is described as a complete player. Originally, he was a Class of 2022 prospect but reclassified to the 2021 class in July. Montverde is one of the nation’s elite programs.
While the five-star plays in Florida, he is originally from Mississauga, Canada.
Jerry Meyer, director of scouting for 247Sports, projects Houstan as an eventual first-round NBA draft pick.
