Virginia has made the cut for one of the top 10 basketball prospects in the country.

Five-star Caleb Houstan, a 6-foot-7, 190-pound small forward from Montverde Academy in Florida, narrowed his final four college choices to Alabama, Duke, Michigan and UVA.

Houstan is described as a complete player. Originally, he was a Class of 2022 prospect but reclassified to the 2021 class in July. Montverde is one of the nation’s elite programs.

While the five-star plays in Florida, he is originally from Mississauga, Canada.

Jerry Meyer, director of scouting for 247Sports, projects Houstan as an eventual first-round NBA draft pick.

KEYTOAH is my nephew and we have watched him even in little league. He’s an outstanding player and will make his teammates proud. But I know he a humble young man, and will do the best job; he can possibly do. Praying for your many talents to be made published. “Do with you do so well.”

      Andrea,
What a very sweet message you left us. We appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your terrific nephew. He sounds like a perfect fit for Virginia and Tony Bennett, a man who truly cares about his players and not only does he build them into better basketball players, but also into better men. – Jerry
