Trey Green, a point guard prospect from Charlotte, N.C., announced Saturday that he had committed  to Xavier.

The 4-star had narrowed his list to Xavier, Virginia, VCU, LSU and Miami.

Green, rated the No. 95 overall prospect in the country by 247Sports composite, No. 117 by Rivals and No. 89 by On3, originally planned to announce his decision in mid-September. He impressed scouts with is performance at Peach Jam, where UVA assistant head coach Orlando Vandross made a strong connection.

Green, who is 5-foot-10, plays for Link Academy in Branson, Missouri.
