Virginia adds 3-star running back Vaughn from Tennessee

Virginia has picked up its second running back prospect for the Class of 2023 in Noah Vaughn from Maryville, Tenn.
Vaughn, who participated in UVA’s football camp this month, is a 5-foot-9, 185-pound, 3-star (247Sports ranking) who had a total of 16 offers. He is ranked the No. 57 overall prospect in the state of Tennessee by 247.
The running back chose Virginia over Navy, Army, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina,Tulane, Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, Richmond and several Ivy League schools.
As a junior at Maryville, he posted 2,378 all-purpose yards last season, including 1,611 yards rushing, and averaged 8.9 yards per carry (22 rushing touchdowns). He also had 15 receptions for 320 yards and a score. Vaughn averaged 40.6 yards on punt returns, including an 85-yarder.

He is the eighth commit to UVA’s recruiting class of 2023 and the second running back, joining Donte Hawthorne (6-0, 200) of Stafford. All eight of the Cavaliers’ eight commitments thus far are rated 3-stars by the national recruiting services.
