The Virginia wrestling program has signed a group of 10 wrestlers that includes six ranked among the top 100 nationally in the 2022 recruiting class.

“We are really excited about this group,” said Virginia head coach Steve Garland. “This class in incredible. Our staff did a tremendous job bringing in great kids who are not just ranked highly, but more importantly are bought in to what we want to build here. They believe in the staff and they believe in the vision for the University of Virginia family.”

The signing class includes six state champions and two state runners-up, along with multiple All-Americans and national champions. The class includes two wrestlers from California (Jack and Michael Gioffre), two from Iowa (Robert Avila and Griffin Gammell), two from Nebraska (Garrett Grice and Nick Hamilton), and one each from New York (Nick Sanko), North Carolina (Kyle Montaperto), Ohio (Peyton Fenton) and Tennessee (Keyveon Roller).
