Virginia made the cut for yet another class of 2025, 4-star prospect on Tuesday when 6-foot-8 power forward Tre Singleton announced that the Cavaliers were among his final eight schools.
While there isn’t any confirmation that UVA has offered Singleton, the Cavaliers are on his list, which includes: Purdue, Clemson, Notre Dame, Louisville, Xavier, Northwestern and Butler.
Singleton is ranked the No. 97 overall prospect in the country in his class by On3, which also rates him the No. 22 power forward prospect in the nation and the No. 5 recruit in the state of Indiana. 247Sports’ Composite rankings have him as the No. 193 player in the country and the No. 40 power forward.
A native of Jeffersonville, Ind., which is across the river from Louisville, Singleton is enjoying a strong summer in tournament play, which has garnered him more interest of late. He’s a strong defender who plays bigger than his size.
As a junior for Jeffersonville H.S., Singleton averaged 14.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3 assists and one steal per game, while shooting 60.8 percent from the field.
