The first-ever Riverside Lunch Pigskin Pick ‘em Contest is headed down the homestretch and our weekly winners have been treated to the best burgers in Charlottesville. Readers have two weeks remaining to qualify for our grand prize. We will make an announcement in the coming days to the bounty that lies ahead.

Meanwhile, our expert panelists are battling it out with all the predictability as the ACC Coastal Division race. After all these weeks, everything is still up in the air.
Somehow, Hootie has managed to hold the lead the past few weeks, but he’s looking over his shoulder at hard-charging Mark Mincer and Scott Ratcliffe, who chewed away some of his lead last week with 17-3 and 18-2 results over the weekend, respectively, and both are only three games back.
Scott German of Augusta Free Press is in sole possession of fourth place, while Blue Ridge Bank president Gary Shook is alone in fifth. Chris Graham of AFP and Lee Shifflett, our sponsor from Riverside Lunch, are still within striking distance. Shifflett missed only three games last week.

How to Play:

We’ll pick every ACC game all season long, plus the best of the rest from around college football (20 total games per week).

Fans can submit their own picks (sent to weeklygridironpicks@gmail.com, with “WEEK 13 PICKS” in the subject line) no later than 6:59 p.m. ET Thursday.

Tiebreaker:

Predict the score of the UVA game: Fans will predict the final score (i.e. Virginia 35, Opponent 21 … that fan’s total score for the tiebreaker would be 56). The fan whose total score is closest to the actual total score will be declared the winner. If somehow two or more fans have the same total score (or are the same distance from the total score), the fan who is closer to UVA’s score will win.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You MUST include a tiebreaker with your entry, or it will not be eligible to win.

Prizes:

The weekly winner will receive a gift certificate from Riverside Lunch and will automatically qualify to compete for the grand prize (TBA soon) during bowl season. Only two spots remain!

If a fan is named the weekly winner, he/she may still compete in the remaining weekly contests, but will not be eligible again for the weekly prize.
