In the wake of the weekend’s firing of Amaka Agugua-Hamilton, we learned a little through sources, but a lot of questions linger about Virginia’s women’s basketball.

As of noon Monday, six UVA players had entered the transfer portal, including Charlottesville’s own Kymora Johnson, immediately rated the top point guard in the portal. She was joined by Olivia McGhee, Breona Hurd, Gabby White, Sa’Myah Smith and Yonta Vaughn.

Johnson and Hurd both noted they had entered the portal with the potential of returning.

That potential is obviously in the hands of Carla Williams, the director of athletics and whom she hires as the next coach, and how long that is going to take.
