The Virginia women’s soccer program announced its 2023 schedule with a slate that includes 11 home games at Klöckner Stadium, and season tickets are now on sale.
The Cavaliers will face eight teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament a year ago with five of those contests at home – including ACC foes Duke, North Carolina and the Commonwealth Clash matchup with Virginia Tech.
Virginia will open the season with six-of-seven non-conference contests at home, starting off with Nevada (Aug. 17), Radford (Aug. 20) and Michigan (Aug. 24). The Cavaliers will then travel to face George Mason (Aug. 27) before closing out the non-conference slate at home against West Virginia (Aug. 31), VCU (Sept. 3) and Iowa (Sept. 7).
In ACC action, the Cavaliers will host North Carolina (Sept. 21), Duke (Oct. 1), Virginia Tech (Oct. 15), Miami (Oct. 19) and Boston College (Oct. 22). Virginia will go on the road for ACC matches at Louisville (Sept. 16), Wake Forest (Sept. 24), Clemson (Oct. 5), NC State (Oct. 8) and Syracuse (Oct. 26).
Broadcast designations, including matches on ACC Network, will be posted to VirginiaSports.com once announced by the ACC and ESPN. Start times are subject to change based on broadcast selections.
Virginia will also play two road exhibition matches in the preseason. One will be a neutral-site contest against Notre Dame in Michigan (Aug. 8) and the other is at Ohio State (Aug. 13).
