When deep threat Trell Harris transferred to Oklahoma and possession receiver Jamal Edrine became embroiled in an off-the-field problem, Virginia lost most of its experience, if not punch, from its receiving corps.
The last thing the Cavaliers wanted to see was yet another receiver, Kam Courtney, enter the portal. But he did, only to eventually change his mind and return to an offense that could use his skill in 2026.
Back in the fold, the 5-foot-11, junior, used mostly as a slot receiver, is hoping to emerge as a leader of his position group, while adding much-needed consistency in the spring drills.
