UVA target Momcilovic chooses Iowa State over Cavaliers
By Jerry Ratcliffe
As predicted, four-star forward Milan Momcilovic announced Saturday that he has committed to Iowa State.
The 6-foot-8, blue-chipper from Pewaukee, Wisc., chose the Cyclones over Virginia, Michigan State, UCLA, Louisville and Minnesota. Iowa State’s coaching staff has been all over Momcilovic from early on, and the rising high school senior has visited the Cyclones numerous times.
He is ranked the No. 44 overall player (On3 evaluation) in the country. Momcilovic visited UVA and many believed because of Tony Bennett’s strong connections to the state of Wisconsin, and having signed previous recruits from that state, the Cavaliers would have a good chance of landing the skilled forward.
