Virginia has landed two players from the transfer portal, Middle Tennessee running back Jekail Middlebrook and Virginia Tech defensive back Christian Ellis, their agents told Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.

Middlebrook was an honorable mention Conference USA this past season when he rushed for 752 yards and four touchdowns, plus hauled in 40 receptions for an additional 412 yards and three scores. His 40 catches ranked among the top five for a running back nationally.

The 5-foot-10, 196-pound back has two years of eligibility remaining. He had 1,164 yards rushing and 7 TDs over his first two years at Middle Tennessee.

Meanwhile, former Hokies defensive back Ellis registered 99 tackles and an interception for New Mexico in 2024 before transferring to Virginia Tech.
