A native of Crozet, Jack Eliason took to the track in hopes of breaking the four-minute barrier for the first time in his career after coming close on numerous occasions.

The Cavalier sprinters punctuated a meet that saw a total of seven Cavaliers post marks that rank in the nation’s top-five in their respective events.

The Virginia men’s and women’s track and field teams closed competition in Louisville at the ACC Indoor Championships on Saturday, where Conor Murphy and Esther Seeland each won silver in the 800 meters.

The Virginia men’s and women’s track and field teams are set to return to action as the teams travel to Rector Field House in Blacksburg to compete at the Hokie Invitational. Events will begin Friday from 11 a.m. through 9:15 p.m.

The Cavaliers closed out competition at the Virginia Tech Invitational, as Alex Sherman logged an individual victory while the relay teams took three out of four races on the final day of action at Rector Field House on Saturday afternoon.
