uva basketballWhile college basketball never finished its 2019-20 season, plans for the 2020-21 season are underway.

According to CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Virginia is scheduled to play in a tripleheader in Charlotte on Nov. 13.

Virginia will play Temple, while Virginia Tech will meet Davidson, and ECU will face Liberty. This is not a tournament.

UVA hasn’t played Temple since 1986, losing a 79-75 decision to the Owls at University Hall. Temple was then coached by Hall of Famer John Chaney.

The Owls finished last season with a 14-17 record and lost their last five games in regular-season play, including a defeat to the American Athletic Conference’s top team, Cincinnati, with 2.8 seconds to play. Temple is coached by Aaron McKie.

Temple’s best player last season was senior guard Quinton Rose, a second-team All-AAC player who averaged 16.4 points per game.
